Five movies hit the theatres today – ‘100 Degree Celsius’, ‘Asha Black’, ‘Persiakkaran’, ‘Ithihasa’, and ‘Maramkothi’.

‘100 Degree Celsius’ is a women-centric movie directed by Rakesh Gopan. Swetha Menon, Bhama, Ananya, Meghna Raj, and Haritha are the five heroines in this movie. 'Myna' fame Sethu, Mithun Ramesh, and Sreejith Ravi do the male leads.

The movie takes up the social issue of increasing trend of women getting into criminal activities. ‘100 Degree Celsius’ is produced by Royson Vellara under the banner of R R Entertainments.

‘Asha Black’ is a Malayalam-Tamil romantic thriller film directed by John Robinson. 'Thanmatra' fame Arjun plays the lead role of a musician in this movie. Sarath Kumar, Manoj K Jayan, Devan, and Ishita are the other main actors in this film. ‘Asha Black’ is produced under the banner of Nimitha Productions.

‘Persiakkaran’ is a movie directed by Ashok R Nath and produced by Sanal Thottam, Hari Kumar Chakkaalil, Satheesh Vellayani, and Sajeev Bhaskar. Set in Dubai, ‘Persiakkaran’ is an emotive film about family and love. Mukesh, Adil Ibrahim, and Sudhakshina Sivkumar do the lead roles.

‘Ithihasa’ directed by debutante Binu casts Shine Tom Chacko in the lead role as a thief. Anusri does the female lead. The movie has some scenes relating to the bygone era. In the banner of A R K Media, Rajesh Augustine produces 'Ithihasa'.

‘Maramkothi’, written and directed by Baby Thomas, narrates the story of a group of people who fights for land and Nature. Sreejith Ravi plays the title role in this movie. In the banner of Wood Pecker Productions, 'Maramkothi' is produced by Francis Christy Boy.
