Priyadarshan set for Hindi remake of ‘Oppam'

Director Priyadarshan has announced his next project in Hindi, which will be the remake of Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam film ‘Oppam’. Saif Ali Khan, Bobby Deol and Samudrakani will play the lead roles in the movie and the shoot will begin next month.


According to Priyadarshan, there will be certain changes in the Hindi version to suit a wider audience. A three-time National Award winner, Priyadarshan took a break from films as he underwent Ayurveda rejuvenation therapy in Kerala. His last film in Malayalam is ‘Corona Papers’ (2023).


The upcoming Hindi film will be his 97th movie in the tinsel town. Meanwhile, Priyadarshan revealed that his 98th film is also ready and it will be in Hindi with Akshay Kumar, which is planned for the end of the year. The director is also planning his 100th film with Mohanlal.


The 67-year-old filmmaker burst into the tinsel world with a slapstick Malayalam comedy ‘Poochekoru Mukuthi’ in 1984. Click the Movie button below for more info:
