'Swayam' in theaters

‘Swayam’ directed by R Sarath hits theaters today. This is the story of 11 year old Meron (Master Nimay Pillai), the autistic son of software engineer parents settled in Germany. While the mother accepts her son and his challenges, the father was not ready to be so.

The film gives a powerful message – that people with autism need huge levels of support and so do their often overlooked and forgotten families.

Football is a great part of this movie which is shot in Germany and Kerala. Portugese-German footballer Roberto Pinto does the role of a football coach.

Madhu, Lakshmipriya Menon, Bindu, Munshi Byju, K C Baby, Krishnaprasad, Sachin, Anand, Meenakshi, Annie Leenus, and Shajilal include the cast.
