‘Sunny' gets entry to Dhaka film fest

Actor Jayasurya’s 100th film ‘Sunny’, which was released on Amazon Prime Video last week, has been selected to the Asian Cinema competition section at the 20th Dhaka International Film Festival. Directed by Ranjith Sankar, the film tells the tale of a musician, who returns to Kerala from abroad during the Covid-19 period.

“So excited to announce the second festival selection for Sunny. This time at Dhaka International Film festival. Sunny will be screened in competition under the Asian films section. Congrats again to team Sunny for this marvellous achievement,” Jayasurya tweeted on Wednesday.

Earlier, the film was also selected to the Competition Section at Calella Film Festival, Spain. ‘Sunny’ is the only Indian film to be screened at Calella Film Festival.
