State Film Awards: Joju, Biju Menon share honours
May 27, 2022 KRRActors Joju George and Biju Menon shared the Best Acor award in the 52nd State Film Awards announced by Minister for Culture Saji Cherian in Thiruvananthapuram today. Joju George won the award for his performances in films ‘Madhuram’, Thuramukham', 'Freedom Fight' and ‘Nayattu’ while Biju Menon bagged the honour for his notable performance in ‘Aarkkariyam’.
FilmmakerSaeed Akhtar Mirza was the Jury chairman this year. Krishanth RK-directed ‘Avasavyuham’ was adjudged the Best Film. The Second Best Film Award was shared between ‘Nishiddho’, directed by Tara Ramanujan, and ‘Chavittu’, helmed by Rahman Brothers. Dileesh Pothen won the Best Director Award for his film ‘Joji’.
Revathy is the Best Actress for her stupendous performance in ‘Bhoothakaalam’. Other awards are the following:

Best Children’s Film – Kaadakalam
Best Child Artist (Male) – Master Adithyan for Niraye Thathakalulla Maram
Best Child Artist (Female) – Sneha Anu for Thala
Best Music Director (Songs) – Hesham Abdul Wahab for Hridayam
Best Male Singer – Pradeep Kumar, Minnal Murali
Best Female Singer – Sithara Krishnakumar, Kaanekkaane
