Swetha Menon demands a safer society for women

Cochin, Feb.27 (NR): Right on top of her Budget wishlist, Actress Swetha Menon has placed basic domestic rights, and hopes that the new Budget would look into safety concerns that the women in Kerala have to deal with everyday.
Swetha wrote in a prominent news daily that she felt that women are not all safe in Kerala. The shocking death of Soumya during her train journey is the best example for the situation that is prevalent in the state.
Swetha therefore feels that the budget should focus on providing better living conditions for women.
She also feels that the budget would provide for more infrastructure development, look into environmental issues, as well as issues related to power supply.
