Swetha Menon delivers a baby girl in front of the camera
Sep 28, 2012 NRBlessy’s ‘Kalimannu’ beautifully paints the conversations and the emotional bond shared by the mother and foetus during pregnancy period. The film highlights the various stages of pregnancy.
When she gave her consent to Blessy she said, “The sufferings, every moment a pregnant woman facing should be known by the partner and I am taking this opportunity to make proper use of it to make people aware of a mother’s sacrifice. When a woman is carrying, the society treats her like a patient. This is injustice. So both of us are taking this opportunity to oppose this practice of society.”
Swetha’s husband Sreevalsan Menon, Blessy, and the camera man were present in the hospital room when little Swetha made her debut in the movie.
Swetha said that she would like to spread the message that the ineffable, lovely moment of giving birth to a baby is not to be enjoyed by the mother alone.
