Sound of Boot all set for release

The Shaji Kailas-directed Suresh Gopi-starrer Sound of Boot, which was shot in just 22 days as a hush-hush affair and later got caught in some legal hassles concerning the name (the film earlier had the name Boot, which had to be altered), is now all set for release. Produced by Pyramid Saimira, the film is an investigative thriller, which has a daring Police Officer named Siddharthan as the central character.

Siddharthan is on an investigative trail. Meera Nambiar, a young girl is found missing. Now Meera Nambiar is not just a girl for Siddharthan. She is the daughter of Raghavan Nambiar, retired Inspector General of Police and Siddharthan's ex-boss, whom he considers as part of his own family. The investigation therefore is rather personal for Siddharthan. But things are destined to take new turn for the daring police officer once he sets off on the investigation trail.

Suresh Gopi as Siddharthan and Honey Rose as Meera Nambiar play the key roles, supported by Bala, Murali, Rajan P. Dev, Manianpillai Raju, Bheeman Reghu, Riza Bawa, Lakshana, Bindu Panicker, Sona Nair etc. Rajesh Jayaraman, who had earlier scripted Time does the script for Sound of Boot too.

Cinematography is by Rajarathinam while Arun, who had been an associate of noted editor N. Gopalakrishnan, and who had earlier edited films in Bollywood makes his entry into Malayalam as an independent editor with this film. Songs penned by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma have been set to tune by Shan. The film was slated for release on January 11, but has been put off by a week.
