Shaji Kailas back to comedy

Shaji Kailas is back to comedy after a long gap. His upcoming movie ‘Madirasi’ with Jayaram in the lead role will be a full length comedy film.

At some point after ‘Dr Pasupathi’, and ‘Kilukkamppetti’, both of which brimmed with humor, Shaji Kailas felt that comedy was not his cup of tea and decided to switch to action films. Though he had given a number of blockbusters to the industry, his recent ones which belong to the action-thriller genre were not well accepted by the film-goers.

Written by Rajesh Jayaraman, the story of ‘Madirasi’ takes place in and around Coimbatore and Palakkad. ‘Madirasi’, with a touch of humor, conveys the message that one should be cautious while dealing with strangers.

Meghna Raj and Meera Nandan are the heroines. Kalabhavan Mani, Tini Tom, and Kailash also appear in important roles.
