'Samrajyam 2' to be the most expensive Malayalam film

‘Samrajyam 2 – Son of Alexander’ will be the most expensive Malayalam film produced ever. Produced by Ajmal Hassan, who has also produced the original ‘Samrajyam’ 22 years back, the film is expected to cost about 25 crores when it hits the theatres. Baiju Adityan is also a co-producer of this movie under the banner of Godson and Athena.

The shooting of the film starts in Spain next month and will move on to Dubai, England, Australia, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kochi.

Along with the director Perarasu, stunt master Rocky Rajesh and choreographer Raju Sunderam are also part of this big budget action movie. The crew also includes newcomers like engineering student Shafeeq (script), Shafeer (lyricist), Shajith (editor).

Unni Mukundan dons Son of Alexander and Trisha will be his lady love. Out of the total 53 actors, Vijayaraghavan, Madhu, and Geetha were part of the 1990 ‘Samrajyam’. The film will be released not only in India but also in many foreign countries including England.
