Release of Black Cat Stayed

Black Cat, the already much delayed Suresh Gopi starrer directed by Vinayan, is likely to be delayed further.

The High Court of Kerala has stayed the release of the film and the confiscation of all prints. The Court made the decision while disposing off a stay petition filed by U. Sasidharan of Ullattil Media Vision against Rajeendran of Goodway Film Corporation, the producer of Black Cat. Goodway Film Corporation allegedly has to pay a sum of Rs. 75 lakhs to Ullattil Media Vision. Black Cat was due to be released around Independence Day, and was to be Suresh Gopi's film for Onam. With the adverse decision of the Court coming at this juncture, it is unlikely that the actor has a film for the festive season.
