Ranjith - Kollywood Bound!

Young actors and actresses from Mollywood are taking the train to Kollywood these days and also making their presence felt there. And we do have directors like Shaji Kailas, Vinayan, Jayaraj, Siddique etc who too have made films in Tamil. And the latest news is that another prominent director from Malayalam is all set to find a place in this list. And that someone is none other than scenarist-turned-director Ranjith.

Ranjith, who has scripted some notable films before turning director with Ravanaprabhu, has given hits as well as very notable misses, with most of his recent films turning out to be flops. He has also tried his hand at acting, doing a key role in Jayaraj's Gulmohar. And while he is all on to his latest Malayalam flick Thirakatha, he is also reportedly going to do a film in Tamil, with Prithviraj and Karthika in the lead roles. The film will be produced by Santhosh Damodaran under the banner of Damor Films. More details are awaited.
