Ramya Krishnan on Comeback Trail
Oct 2, 2008 Nr
Ramya Krishnan, the actress who had caught the fancy of people not just in the south, but in Bollywood too, is all set to be back. Her last powerful role was in Rajnikanth's 'Padaiyappa', in which she played the villainous Neelambari opposite Rajni and won accolades from all over. Though she acted in all South Indian languages after her marriage in 2003, she couldn't make her presence felt in a big way after 'Padaiyappa'. She had however won rave reviews for her role in the Malayalam film 'Ore Kadal', released last year.
Now, after a gap, Ramya Krishnan is all set to make a big bang of a comeback, with Arumugham, the Suresh Krishna-directed Tamil film in which Bharath is playing the lead role. National Award winner Priyamani is the heroine in the film, in which Ramya Krishnan plays a very powerful role, with negative shades. She does the role of a millionaire industrialist, who locks horns with the young hero. Let's hope Ramya Krishnan makes a big impact and satisfies ardent fans of hers.
