Ponnamma leads in Meghatheertham

Meghatheertham directed by Unni is a film that has Carnatic music as its underlying theme. The film tells the story Balasamy a Carnatic vocalist and Gayathri Devi, a violin virtuoso.

Sai Kumar plays the role of Balasamy, while Kaviyoor Ponnamma does the role of Gayathri Devi. Others in the cast include Siddique, Manikuttan, Sriraman, Mammukoya, Vijay Menon, Harishanth, Augustine, Narayanankutty, KPAC Sajeev, Saju Kodiyan, Cherthala Johnson, Kannur Sreelatha, Santhakumari, Vijayakumari, Geetha Nair, Urmila Unni, Thrissur Elsie Subhalakshmi, Girija Ravindran etc. Director Lohithadas also plays a cameo role in the film.

Meghatheertham is produced by Salim PT and Shaji Natesan under the banner of Green Advertising and Bravo Films, Ajman. The story and the screenplay for the film are provided by the director himself. Utpal V Nayanar wields the camera. Girish Puthencherry does the lyrics, which is set to tune by Sharath.
