New 'Maniyara' getting ready

Salim Baba comes with the new ‘Maniyara’. Though the title relates it to the hit film of 1983 ‘Maniyara’, directed by M Krishnan Nair, the storyline is different. One of the songs of the old film is also recreated in the new one.

M Krishnan Nair’s film which stars Mammootty, Seema, and Santhi Krishna was produced by T E Vasudevan. Salim Baba admits that he has lent only the title of the film and one of the hit songs by P Bhaskaran and A T Ummer.

Scripted by Niyaz Becker, the movie casts ‘Cinema Company’ fame Badri and Swasika in the lead roles. Sajan K Ram tunes the lyrics by Yusafali Kecheri.

Irshad, Siddique, Shammi Thilakan, Saikumar, Kochupreman, Mamukkoya, Seenath, and Meena Ganesh also are part of ‘Maniyara’. Some important personalities in the political, social and the media world also make their presence felt in the movie.

Abdulla T C produces ‘Maniyara’ for A T C Mega Movies. Cinematography is handled by Sajith Menon. The film will start its shooting on December 1st.
