Mohanlal's 'Udayon' makes it to the top

Kochi, Aug 6 (IANS) The new Mohanlal film "Udayon" directed by veteran Bhadran makes it to the top this fortnight.

1. "Udayon": Mohanlal captures the top spot after a long gap with a film that has received a mixed response from the audience. Directed by veteran Bhadran, this film has the megastar in a double role, in which he also dons the getup of a man in his seventies.

2. "Pandipada": This is a fun film from Dileep's Production Company Grand Productions. Rafi-Mecartin's direction has ensured that this film does grand business at the box office.

3. "Raapakal": A family entertainer from director Kamal starring Mammootty keeps the female audience lining up at the ticket counter. This is a rare occurrence these days.

4. "Ben Johnson": This Kalabhavan Mani-starrer makes a comeback into this list as it is still doing good business in smaller theatres.

5. "Chithariyavar": This offbeat film, directed by Lalji, tackles the dilemmas and complexes of backward communities. This film has Sreenivasan in the lead. The film is in the top five due to its subject.
