Cochin, Jan.3 (NR): Megastar Mohanlal is undoubtedly the most popular brand ambassador around. Kerala's favorite actor has been the model of several famous brands as Malabar Gold, Manappuram Finance and MCR Dhoties.
The MCR dhoties ad however has landed the actor in a controversy. It is the Handloom workers who have protested against the ad, and who have stated that it isn't right for Mohanlal to endorse the brand, since he is also the Brand Ambassador of Khadi.
Earlier Jagathy Sreekumar had withdrawn his support to lottery ads, after the lottery controversy gained public attention.
The supporters of the Handloom industry feel that Mohanlal should also follow suit, and should not endorse a private brand and Khadi simultaneously. The actor is yet to respond to the issue. Click the Movie button below for more info: Christian Brothers
