Mohanlal in Viji Thampy's 'Balaraman'

After 'Krithyam' Viji Thampy will direct Mohanlal in 'Balaraman'. Sasi Ayyanchira's Sree Uthrittathi Films is producing the movie. Scriptwriter S. Suresh Babu and music director Ilayaraja are part of this project, which will commence shooting in August.



Speaking to nowrunning.com producer Sasi Ayyanchira revealed “Mohanlal is playing a lorry driver in this movie. An army officer with a tumultuous past he settles down in a forest area after his tenure in the defense forces. With strong values and integrity the hero is at loggerheads with the forest mafia and terrorist groups of the region. In the tussle that ensues, he looses his daughter. Bollywood actor Nasarudeen Shah is playing a terrorist leader in this movie”.


Padmapriya is the heroine. Jagathy, Siddhique, Innocent and Indrans are the other members of the cast.


After completing Ranjith's 'Chandrothsavam' and Bhadran's 'Udayon' Mohanlal will join Viji Thampi for this production.


This is Viji Thampy and Sasi Ayyanchira's second movie together. Their first joint venture, 'Krithyam' with Prithviraj is heading for completion shortly.
