Mammootty and Meera bag Asiavision Awards

Cochin, Oct.21 (NR): Dubai based Asiavision has announced the Film Awards for the year, and Mammootty and Meera Jasmine have bagged the Best Actor awards.

Mammootty has been awarded for his performance in the films 'Palery Manickyam', 'Kutti Srank' and 'Pranchiyettan and the Saint'. Meera was honored for her performance in the film 'Pattinte Palazhi'.

Shaji N Karun has been selected as the Best Director (Kutti Srank). The best music director is M G Sreekumar (Oru Naal Varum).

Anne Augustine has been selected as the Most Promising Debutante of the year for her role in 'Elsamma Enna Aankutty'. Karthik is the Best Male Playback singer (Neelathamara) while Shwetha Mohan is the Best Female Playback Singer (Oru Naal Varum).

Ranjith has been selected as the Most Popular Director (Pranchiyettan and the Saint)and he also bagged the award for the Best Script for the same film.
