Major Mahadevan gets promoted!

Major Mahadevan, whom we first met in Keerthichakra, gets promoted. When we meet this Mohanlal character in Major Ravi's next film Kurukshetra, he will be Colonel Mahadevan and not Major Mahadevan. Kurukshetra, which has started rolling in Kargil, zooms in on the Kargil war of 1999, analyzing different aspects of the war - the causes, losses and gains, the costs incurred, the lessons to be learnt etc.

Produced by Santhosh Damodaran under the banner of Damor Cinemas, Kurukshetra is the first film to be shot in Kargil. Tania Singh does the female lead role, accompanied in the cast by Biju Menon, Siddique, Cochin Haneefa, Suraaj Venjaramoodu etc.

Scripted by Major Ravi himself, Kurukshetra features cinematography by Loganathan, editing by Jayashankar, lyrics by Gireesh Puthencherry and Bombay S. Kalaam and music by debutante Sidharth Bipin. It's learnt that Kurukshetra won't be a mere war movie in the usual sense. It would also focus on human relationships. So let's wait for Major Ravi and Colonel Mahadevan to strike with Kurukshetra.
