Cochin, Aug.27 (NR): Actress Lakshmi Rai seems to be the hot favorite among Malayalam film makers, with the actress delivering a few back to back hits.
She is to do the female lead role opposite Mammootty in the next film by director Shafi, the maker of many colourful hits. Lakshmi Rai, who had made her debut in Malayalam acting opposite Mohanlal in the Ranjith-directed 'Rock n' Roll', had acted with Mammootty in 'Annan Thampi' and 'Parunthu' too.
Shafi's Mammootty-Lakshmi Rai movie, titled 'Chattambinaadu', features script by Benny P. Nayarambalam. Many other popular stars are also in the cast. The film is scheduled to start rolling on the 9th of September at Pollachi.
