'Kochi Rajavu' - the surprise topper

Kochi, May 20 (IANS) Dileep starrer "Kochi Rajavu" released during Vishu was termed a damp squib initially but has emerged as a surprise winner in the top five list.

There are two new entrants in the list this time - "Made in USA' and "Krithyam".

1. "Kochi Rajavu": This Dileep film has proved to be the dark horse in the race of Vishu films. It is said that Dileep's publicity overdrive in the visual media has helped the film regain lost ground.

2. "Thommanum Makkalum": This Mammootty-starrer is still going strong at the box office. Now director Shafi is planning to remake it in Tamil with Vikram in the lead.

3. "Udayananu Tharam": Crowds are still thronging the theatres to watch this super-hit. Though it has moved to smaller centres, we still see House Full boards.

4. "Made in USA": This off beat film directed by Rajeev Anchal, featuring Madhavan, has got a mixed response.

5. "Krithyam": Prithviraj gets another opportunity to prove himself at the box office. This time, veteran director Viji Thampy has entrusted him with a double role as hero and villain. But it is still early days to pass a verdict on the film.
