'Karpoora Deepam' released after 14 years

The movie ‘Karpoora Deepam’ which began its shooting in 1998 is released today after 14 years. The shooting has been stopped due to various reasons.

The movie is directed by George Kithu. ‘Karpoora Deepam’ is the adaptation of a novel by Mallika Younis.

The film casts Siddique, Shari, Sukumari, and Beena Antony. Late musician Johnson has set tunes for the lyrics by Yusuf Ali Kecheri.

George Kithu had won accolades for his directorial debut ‘Adharam’ starring Murali in the lead role. Of late he has not been that active in the industry.
