Fans' Associations are a curse: M A Nishad

Trivandrum, Sep.25 (NR): Director M A Nishad said that the fans' associations are the biggest curse for Malayalam cinema. He was speaking at a press conference here, as part of the promotional event for his film Vairam.

He also said that there were few good producers who were willing to invest their money in meaningful cinema. Nishad said that through his latest film Vairam, he was attempting to revive commercial cinema that was fast losing its foothold.

Nishad also said that contrary to his earlier films, he has dwelled more on emotional scenes in Vairam. However, it remains based on contemporary events.
