Case filed against net portal by producer of Notebook

Grihalakshmi Films, which produced Notebook, the Rosshan Andrrews directed film that is still running at many release centres, has filed a suit against a website for having hosted the whole film violating all copyright laws.

Sreekumar Menon, the General Manager of Grihalakshmi Films, filed the suit against malluwood.net, the portal which has allegedly shown the film. The case has been registered with the Kozhikode City Police Commissioner. The Police have reportedly started investigation into the violation, which in the opinion of the producers, has resulted in substantial loss to them as well as to the government.
