Arundhati Nag in 'Da Thadiya'

Prominent South Indian polyglot theatre person Arundhati Nag makes her debut in the Malayalam film, ‘Da Thadiya’ directed by Ashiq Abu. Arundhati Nag does the role of the grandmother of the central character Luka.

She says that she is very much impressed with her role in the film. “It is my first Malayalam film and I admire the way Malayalam cinema has regenerated itself. It is an example for the entire country,” she says.

Arundhati Nag has been accorded with State and National awards for the Best Supporting Actress. Her role as Vidya Balan’s mother in ‘Paa’ won her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2010.
