Arun - Lucky or Unlucky ?

Arun, who is best known for his performance in For the People, was lucky to bag several films after that. He was there in the sequels to For the People too, namely By the People and Of the People. He has been getting all kinds of roles besides - supporting ones as well as lead roles, and in that sense he has been lucky as an actor. But the worrying thing is, though he has been getting offers after offers, he hasn't had a single hit to his credit, except perhaps For the People.

Arun has done the lead role in films like November Rain, Quotation, Anthiponvettam etc. The recently released Anthiponvettam, in which he played one of the heroes, fared so badly that even on day one, some of the theatres didn't get enough people to conduct some shows. So much for luck!

And now, he is doing a key role in Themmaadipraavu, directed by Rajan Shankaradi. He is one of the key artists in the film, the others being Muktha, Shruthilakshmi and debutante Farooque. He plays a footloose character called Kannan. Let's hope Arun gets lucky this time at least, as far as box office success is concerned. Themmaadipraavu, which started rolling in Kodungalloor, is produced by Salim Shajahan under the banner of Divya Creations.
