Venkata in Sankata Kannada Movie

After 'Rama Shama Bhama' and 'Satyavan Savitri', actor-turned-director Ramesh Aravind had tried his hand at a thriller, 'Accident'. And now, with his fourth directorial venture, 'Venkata in Sankata', he once again makes a comeback to comedy, which is his forte.

'Venkata in Sankata', as the title suggests, focuses on the 'sankatas', ie, the sorrows or problems of Venkata, a policeman. Venkata always dreams of becoming the Police Commissioner some day. But his dreams don't get fulfilled, especially because he has lots of problems on the domestic front. These problems arise mainly because he has two wives.

In the meantime, there is another policeman who is Venkata's friend and constant companion. But when Venkata begins to feel that the guy, who is industrious by nature, is likely to get promoted, jealousy creeps into his mind. He thinks of all ways possible to prevent his friend from getting promoted. The rest of the plot focuses on the consequent happenings. Ramesh Aravind himself plays Venkata while Sharmila Mandre, Meghana and Anusha are the leading ladies.
