'Venkata in Sankata' full of comical situations
Oct 5, 2008 IANS"Venkata is a traffic police cop. He is always in a soup and keeps getting into trouble. And he has two wives. Venkata is demoted because of the mistakes he commits while on duty. There are many comical situations which are sure to evoke big laughs in the theatre," says the actor-director.
Aravind's first two films "Rama Shaama Bhaama" and "Sathyavaan Savithri" were comedy films, while the third "Accident" was a thriller.
"My fourth film is also a comedy. The only difference is that 'Venkata in Sankata' will also have a little suspense element," says Aravind.
Sharmila Mandre who has worked in two Kannada films "Sajini" and "Krishna" will be playing the role of one of Aravind's wives.
Mandre is also working in "Shivamani" and "Navagraha" for which the shooting has been completed.
Model Anusha and new actress Meghana Mudhiyan are the other two heroines of the film.
Devadas Kappikad of the Tulu theatre will be playing an important role in this film.
Aravind has taken a team of proven technicians in this venture which is being made by a corporate film group, Sinema House.
Well-known Telugu film writer Thotapalli Madhu who has written the story and screenplay for over 190 films has penned the script of the film.
Rickey Kej is the music director, P.K.H. Doss the cameraman and Ravi Varma the stunt director.
The shooting of "Venkata in Sankata" will be held in two schedules and the film will be released in February 2009.
