Mohanlal as John David

Mohanlal is seen in a different avatar in the upcoming movie of the ‘Shikhar’ team titled ‘Kanal’. He plays the character named John David.

One of the young stars of the industry too will share screen space with Mohanlal in an equally important role. But the actor is not yet finalized.

‘Kanal’ is directed by M Padmakumar and scripted by S Suresh Babu. 'Kanal' is a revenge story that revolves around two people who lives in a sand city.

The movie has the tag line "Every end has an old beginning". The film narrates the story of two individuals who get entrapped in Dubai during recession and later they get back to Kerala.

‘Kanal’ is produced by Abraham Mathew under the banner of Abam Movies. The lyrics by Madhu Vasudev are tuned by Ouseppachen. Vinod Illampilly is the cameraman.

Kochi, Munnar, Mysore, and Dubai are the locations.
