Mohanlal again at Kalapani

Mohanlal is again at Kalapani in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the shoot of the movie ‘Koothara’. Lal has earlier been here during the shoot of the 1996 Priyadarshan movie ‘Kalapani’. Kalapani was the location where the picturization of the sufferings of hundreds of Indian prisoners in the cellular jail during the British rule took place.

‘Koothara’ is directed by Srinath Rajendran. The movie also casts Sunny Wayne, Bharath, Tovino Thomas, Ranjini, and Suraj Venjarammoodu in main roles.

Vini Viswalal who has scripted Srinath Rajendran's earlier movie ‘Second Show’ is the scenarist of ‘Koothara’. Shahul Hamid Marrackar produces ‘Koothara’ under the banner of Marrackar Films.
