Mammootty and Ranjith with 'The New Indian Rupee'

Ranjith is again directing Mammootty after ‘Kadal Kadannoru Mathukutty’. The movie is titled ‘The New Indian Rupee’.

Black money and the current financial situation prevailing in India are the main themes dealt with in the movie. Earlier Renjith’s Mohanlal-starrer ‘Loham’ had a similar theme of smuggling.

‘The New Indian Rupee’ is an action film which will have newcomers behind the screen. Om Prakash the cinematographer of movies like ‘Kaashmora’ and ‘Maari’ will crank camera for this movie.

Shahabas Aman is the music director. The movie also features Iniya, Renji Panicker, Saikumar, Siddique, Harish Perumanna, Mamukkoya, and Joju George.
