Three movies to hit the theatres on Friday

Three movies will hit the theatres on this Friday. ‘August Club’, ‘Akam’, and ’72 Model’ are the films to be released on the 26th of April.

‘August Club’ directed by debutante K B Venu is a woman oriented film starring Rima Kallingal in the lead role. The screenplay is by Anantha Padmanabhan, son of renowned author and director P Padmarajan. The story is based on a novelette Venalinte Kalaneekkangal by the scenarist himself. Murali Gopi, Thilakan, and Sukumari also appear in important roles.

‘Akam’ is a psycho thriller written and directed by Shalini Usha Nair with Fahad Fazil and Anumol in the lead roles. The story is about a young architect who starts suspecting that his wife is a yakshi (demon). The movie is an adaptation of the famous Malayalam novel Yakshi by Malayattoor Ramakrishnan. The film was screened at various International Film Festivals.

Rajasenan’s ’72 Model’ is the story of four friends and revolves around a 72 model ambassador car. Govind Padmasurya and Sreejith Vijay are the heroes and Nasreen Nazer and Sonia Das do the lead female characters. Madhu and Vijayaraghavan are also doing important roles. In the banner of Chand Creations, '72 Model' is produced by J Sarathchandran Nair.
