Thiruvananthapuram, March 14 (IANS) The Kerala Film Chamber has decided to ban actress Rima Kallingal's films because she is doing a TV show for a Malayalam channel, disregarding a recent notice of the chamber.

A warning was given recently by the chamber to mainstream stars who are involved with reality shows on TV channels.

Besides Rima, the list includes Siddique, Archana Kavi, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Kaniha.

All the others, except Rima, replied to the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) and the Kerala Film Chamber, and therefore the chamber has decided to take strong action against her.

Any of her movies will neither be produced, nor released after May 15.

Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi, who is also anchoring a show for a channel, said he will not sign any movie while doing a TV show.

Jagadeesh said he has already acquired consent from the Kerala Film Chamber as he has to cooperate with the channel he has signed a contract with.
