Jayaram completes 25 years in cinema

Popular actor Jayaram has completed 25 years in the industry. Jayaram, who had been a mimicry artist, made his debut in the filmdom through the movie ‘Aparan’ in 1988 as the hero. The film was directed by legendary director Padmarajan. Since then he has been an inevitable part of Malayalam cinema. He has acted in many Tamil movies also.


‘Innale’, ’Meleparambil Aanveedu’, ’Aniyan Bava Chettan Bava’, ’Veendum Chila Veetukaryangal’, ‘Veruthe Oru Bharya’, and ‘Seniors’ are some of his popular films in Malayalam. His Tamil films with Kamal Hassan, ‘Thennali’ and ‘Panjathanthram’ were laugh riots and were box office hits. His latest Tamil film was ‘Thuppakki’ with Vijay.


His main upcoming projects include Shibu Anthikad’s ‘Lucky Star’ as one who aspires to become an actor but fails miserably; Akku Akbar’s ‘Bharya Athra Pora’; Shaji N Karun’s film which narrates the story of a chenda percussionist. He will also be part of Kamal’s new film and a Tamil flick by Gautham Menon.
