Ashiq Abu to direct Mohanlal

Superstar Mohanlal will act in an Ashiq Abu movie titled ‘Kodumkattu’. The movie is expected to be an action thriller.

The movie marks the entry of Shyam Pushker as an independent scenarist. Shyam Pushkar along with Dileesh Nair and Abhilash Kumar has penned the scripts of the earlier hit films of Ashiq Abu like ‘Salt n’ Pepper’, ’22 FK’ and ‘Da Thadiya’.

The shooting schedules are not yet decided as Ashiq Abu will start the work of ‘Kodumkattu’ only after ‘Idukki Gold’ and ‘Gangster’. ‘Idukki Gold’ is a comedy caper starring Lal and Maniyanpilla Raju in the lead roles. ‘Gangster’ is an action thriller with Mammootty playing the lead role.

‘Kodumkattu’ is expected to go on floors by the end of 2013 or by the beginning of next year. The movie is produced by Ashirvad Cinemas.
