5 big releases for this Christmas

This year’s Christmas season will be a celebration for the movie lovers. 5 movies are in queue for release.

Ashiq Abu’s ‘Da Thadiya’ though without a big star cast has high expectations right from the day of announcement. Starring Shekhar Menon and Sreenath Bhasi in the lead roles, the film plots the life of an obese person. Nivin Pauly, Ann Augustine, and Arundhati Nag also star in the movie.

‘Annayum Rasoolum’, the maiden directorial venture of ace cinematographer Rajeev Ravi is also ready for release .The film has Fahad Fazil as hero and Andria Jeremiah as his lady love. The film narrates the love story of a Muslim youth and Christian girl.

Written by Ranjith and directed by G S Vijayan, ‘Bavuttiyude Namathil’ stars Mammootty, Sankar Ramakrishnan, Kavya Madhavan, Rima Kallingal, and Kaniha. With Mammootty playing the title character Bavutty, the film is based on the life of the people of Malabar.

Mohanlal-Major Ravi teams’ action thriller ‘Karmayodha’ based on the abduction of a teenage girl will be a Christmas release. This movie on human trafficking includes Mukesh, Rajeev Pillai, Biju Menon, Aiswarya Devan, and Sona Heiden in the cast.

B Unnikrishnan’s ‘I Love Me’ stars Anoop Menon, Unni Mukundan, Asif Ali, and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. The movie explores how the perceptions of two self-centric individuals are changed by a third person. The movie is scripted by Sethu and produced by Vysakh Rajan. Deepak Dev tunes the music and Satish Kurup is the cinematographer.
