Kollam Ajith passes away

Actor-director Kollam Ajith passed away on Thursday. He was undergoing treatment for stomach-related ailments at a private hospital in Kochi. The Malayalam actor died at 3.40am.

Ajith made his debut an actor in filmmaker Padmarajan’s 1983 film “Parannu Parannu Parannu.” Later, he got villain roles in most films, including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

His best-known films are “Yuvajanotsavam,” “Nadodikkattu,” “No.20 Madras Mail,” “Nirnayam”, “Aaraam Thampuran”, “Olympiyan Anthony Adam” and “Valliettan” among others.

Ajith directed two films in Malayalam—“Calling Bell” and “Pakal Pole.” He was last seen in 2012 film “Ivan Ardhanaari.” The 56-year-old actor is survived by his wife Prameela, daughter Gayathri and son Sreehari. Click the Movie button below for more info:
