Ganesh Kumar turns hero in 'Mizhithurakku'

Ganesh Kumar who had mainly done supporting roles now turns hero with the new film ‘Mizhithurakku’. The movie is directed by Dr Santhosh. ‘Mizhithurakku’ is based on Kumaranasan’s poem ‘Dhuravastha’.

The story takes place during the 1920s. Ganesh plays Cheruman who belongs to lower caste and he marries Savithri, a woman from the upper caste. Ganesh said during the pooja of ‘Mizhithurakku’ that this is for the first time he does such a role.

Ganesh Kumar’s last released film was the psychological thriller ‘Up and Down: Mukalil Oralunde’ directed by T K Rajiv Kumar.
