'Drishyam' completed 100 days

‘Drishyam’ adds one more record to its credit. Mohanlal-Jithu Joseph team’s ‘Drishyam’ completes 100 days of successful running. Released on December 19, 2013, the movie is still running in packed houses in 43 theatres.

‘Drishyam’ is the highest grossing Malayalam film in the history of Malayalam cinema. This is the first movie to have crossed Rs 1 crore from multiplexes.

The movie is being remade in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The remake rights and satellite rights are also sold for record amounts. It holds the record of having acquired the biggest ever satellite amount in Malayalam cinema.

The Tamil version is directed by Jithu Joseph with Kamal Hassen in the lead role. P Vasu and Sripriya direct the Kannada and Telugu versions respectively.
