Cinematographer Aravindakshan passes away
Aug 30, 2023 KKRV Aravindakshan Nair, noted cinematographer and former senior cameraman of Chithranjali Studio of Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC), passed away on Tuesday evening. He was 72.
Aravindakshan Nair, who is best known for his screen name V Aravind, had been ailing for a couple years. He worked in a host of films, serials, short films and documentaries. Aravind’s major films include ‘Achan Pattalam’, ‘Anakha’, ‘Sreeragam’, ‘Inapraavukal’, ‘Post Box N0. 27,’ and ‘Ponnaranjaanam.’
His last film was Thejas Perumanna-directed ‘Maadhaveeyam’ (2019). Aravind also worked in the films of Shaji N Karun, K R Mohanan and Lenin Rajendran. His wife Pushpakumari died a few years ago.
He is survived by daughter Chithra and son Abhishek, besides son-in-law Retheesh and daughter-in-law Sree Lakshmi. Sanchayanam (post-death rituals) will be held on September 3 at 9 am.
