Actress Lakshmi Krishnamurthy dies aged 90

Veteran actress and dubbing actress Lakshmi Krishnamurthy passed away in Chennai on Saturday. The actress breathed her last at a private hospital where she had been undergoing treatment for old age-related ailment.
Lakshmi, who was an artiste and announcer in Akashavani, Kozhikode, made her acting debut in the film 'Panchagni'. She has acted around 20 films, including ‘Vasthuhara’, ‘Ee Puzhayum Kadannu,’ ‘Thooval Kottaram’, ‘Kaliyoonjal’, ‘Anandabhadram’, ‘Vismayam’, ‘Pattabhishekam’, ‘Ponthanmada’, ‘Sagaram Sakshi’, ‘Vishnu’ and ‘Keshu’.
The funeral was held at Besant Nagar, Chennai on Saturday.
