Actor Vijayan Peringode passes away

Actor Vijayan Peringode died of cardiac arrest on Wednesday at 4am in Palakkad. Starting his career as a production executive, Vijayan has acted in about 40 films.

He made his acting debut in the film “Asthram,” directed by PN Menon in 1983. He was seen mostly in supporting roles in films, including “Oppam”, “Orkkappurathu”, “Adayalam”, “Meesa Madhavan,” “Pattalam,” and “Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu.”

Vijayan was a permanent figure in the films of directors Sathyan Anthikkad and Lal Jose.
