Director Shyamaprasad, who gifted us with the gem 'Ore Kadal' is back to tackling the complexity of human emotions in his latest film 'Elektra'.
Through 'Elektra' the director has managed a casting coup of sorts by casting hotshot South Indian actress Nayantara with Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala.
Nayan plays the title role of Elektra in the film that is "a psycho-sensual drama heavily charged with primal energy.". Apparently inspired from the Greek myth, the film would have Manisha playing Elektra's mother and Prakash Raj in the role of her father.
Skanda, Biju Menon, P Sreekumar, KPAC Lalitha, Sruthi Menon and several other actors form the supporting cast.
Sanu John Varghese has done the cinematography while the editing has been done by Vinod Sukumaran. The lyrics of the film have been penned by Rafeeq Ahamad while Alphonse has composed the musical score.
Electra has been produced by Vindyan under the banner of Rasika Entertainment.
