Raj Babu's Kangaroo takes a peek into the lives of Canaanite Christians through the central character of Josekutty. Canaanite Christians are a community that has not allowed the trappings of materialism to encumber them. Their traditions and practices are distinctly different from those of other communities and Kangaroo shows us glimpses of their way of life.

Prithviraj plays the lead role of Josekutty. Kavya Madhavan plays opposite to him as Jancy, a village girl in the traditional attire of Canaanite Christian women of a bygone era. She is an exceptionally pious girl who spends much of her time in prayer. Others in the cast include Jayasurya, Jagathy Sreekumar, Sriraman, Harisree Ashokan, Salim Kumar, Lalu Alex, Rajan P. Dev, T.P. Madhavan, Sooraj Venjaramoodu, Bijukuttan, Kalabhavan Prajoth, Sukumari, KPAC Lalitha, Bindu Panicker, Divya, Valsala Menon etc. The film, which was shot in and around Mundakkayam, is getting ready for release.
