Avan Chaandiyude Makan Malayalam Movie

Chandy is a wealthy man. He is also extremely cruel and selfish. There isn't an iota of kindness in him. The neighbourhood has it that he kicked his wife to death. Kuriachan is Chandy's only son. Chandy's eldest daughter Elikutty is a college lecturer and a widow, and is compelled to stay in her father's home. The second daughter Susanne went to become a nun but ended up marrying someone from another faith. The third daughter Kochurani is married and lives in the neighbourhood. Her husband Paulachan has an eye on the family property and tries to be in Chandy's good books. The youngest daughter Sophia is yet to be married.

Unable to live under the same roof with his father, Kuriachan leaves home. But he returns when Chandy refuses to part with his late wife's share of the property, to which the children have a right. To make matters worse, Kuriachan marries Shobhana, the daughter of a lowly police constable and a Hindu. Avan Chandiyude Makan is a film Thulasidas is weaving together against this family background. Prithviraj plays the role of Kuriachan, while Vijayaraghavan does that of Chandy. Sridevika the Malayalam actress, who has found much favour in the Tamil film industry, makes her debut in Malayalam cinema in this movie. The film which was shot at locations in Kochi, Kambam and Theni, is likely to hit the screens during the Vishu festival season.
