"Thalaimagan" is actor Sarath Kumar's 100th film. The movie is produced by Radhika's Raadan Media Works and is directed by Sharath Kumar himself.

"Thalaimagan" is about the looming water crisis which has become the people's major concern all over.

Action-packed and fast phased, the film has been crafted with a journalist's work forming the basis of the theme. The message of the film is the water problem is assuming serious proportions and future wars will be fought over it.

Director Cheran has written the screenplay. Director K.S. Ravi Kumar and Kushboo play guest roles. The cast includes Nayanthara, Seema Biswas, Mukesh Tiwari, Vadivelu, Vijayakumar and new actor John Vijay.
