Pudhupettai Tamil Movie

Selvaragavan directs his younger brother Dhanush in “Pudhupettai”. The movie has two heroines, Sneha and Sonia Agarwal.

The subject of 'Pudupettai' is a kind of weird, said Selva in an interview . His earlier movies were simple love stories. This one is rather complicated. It's experimental and revolves around the lives of gangsters in Chennai. Danush plays the goon . It is about how an adolescent boy ends up as a dada of sorts. Selva says the lanky Dhanush suits the role. "We chose the story first", added Selva.

He said that unlike the gangster films seen earlier, 'Pudupettai is treated realistically. There is a lot of realism. "There is no action, but it's an interesting dark film."

Sneha plays a call girl in the movie and she says it is one of the best roles that she has ever performed. Sonia Agarwal really is thrilled about her role in the film.

The film has been shot extensively in a set specially erected at Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad replicating the Chennai slums where most of the drama takes place.

Cinematographer Arvind Krishna's creative use of the Super 35 lens enhances the quality of the film. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja and “Pudhupettai” will be released on May 26th.
