Vargam Malayalam Movie

Circle Inspector Solomon (Prithviraj) is a cop, and not a very good one at that. Make hay while the sun shines is his policy. He has no qualms about using his authority to amass wealth. He doesn't think twice about teaming up with the marijuana growers of Idukki. He gets particularly close to Iritti Vavachan (Vijaya Raghavan) and becomes a key player in the latter's growth. Ummachan (Devan) is another grower in the area and Vavachan's sworn enemy.Their personal rivalry even sent reverberations across the political hierarchy.

Trouble starts when Solomon kills Ummachan's brother Dennis in a scuffle. Although, the law did not find Solomon guilty, Vavachan in vengeance, gets Solomon transferred to Kasargode, where he has to confront underworld don Aboobacker Haji. Solomon faces a string of failures, and at one time barely escapes alive. His outlook slowly changes, and he becomes a different persona. This is the gist of Padmakumar's Vargam, which is being shot at Thodupuzha, Idukki, Kochi and Kannur.

Prithviraj who starred in Padmakumar's debut film Ammakkilikoodu plays the lead role in Vargam as well. Renuka Menon plays the leading lady in this movie which has emphasis on action. Padmakumar himself does the script, while Shyam Dutt handles the cinematography. Music is by Thej.
