Surya plays a Madras Tamil speaking guy with Trisha playing a dominant role.Since the character is very local person, Surya has taken special training in the slums.Trisha has been made as a very modern city girl.
Telugu actor Jayaprakash Reddy has been introduced in this film as villan.Kalabhavan Mani has given a versatile performance.
Priyan handles the camera. "Aaru" is due for December release.
